Mount Manaslu Photos- the magical mystery of the mountain captured

The landscape and the mountains of Nepal are always well heard of. The Himalayas range comprises the world’s eighth wonder and also has some unbelievably beautiful landscapes. There is no view more beautiful when the mountain shines bright with the rays of the sun.

Located in the highlights of Nepal, Manaslu lies in the centre of Nepal, standing proudly as the eighth tallest mountain in the world, with a height of 8163 meters. The spectacular beauty of Manaslu and its nearby mountains is now a very popular trekking destination. And we are sure that you found some of these views utterly impressive.

How do you get to Mount Manaslu?

If you want to see the beauty of Mount Manaslu, then you need to walk for at least seven days to get to the Manas base camp. You can take a helicopter flight from Kathmandu to Manaslu to see the mountains from above, but this is quite an expensive option, and you will also not get to enjoy any other perks of trekking, such as rich cultural exposure, video making, interacting with people and more. So, the best option we recommend is to take a ride from Kathmandu to Manaslu and then start your hike. You will be wandering for 6 to 7 days in the beautiful landscape of the mountain, roaming around some of the most traditional villages and enjoying the culture preserved. And at the end of the day, you can find yourself standing in front of the Majestic Mount Manaslu. Please note that you cannot climb the Manaslu above base camp without a special mountain climbing permit and a special team of guides. Do note that it is quite risky, but we believe that just getting into the Manaslu base camp is as magical as it can get.

First, get a bus from Kathmandu Macchakhola (Bus park of Kathmandu) to Mancha Chola. You can also get a private jeep and this journey takes around 7 hours. Then you hike via Jagat to Deng  and finally to Namrung . Then you stop at Shyala Village and finally get to Samagoun. This is the last village before the Manaslu base camp. You can hike to the Manaslu Base Camp and birendra lake from there and then get back to Kathmandu on a different route.

Things to see around Manaslu

Obviously, Mount Manaslu is the biggest highlight of the trek. Along with that, you can see other spectacular mountains such as Ganesh Himal, Himalchuli, Ngadi Chuli, Annapurna II and III and more. Also, one can see some magical sights from the Tibetan site. And right before the magical mountains, there’s a pristine glacier lake known as the Birendra Lake.

Along with that, you can visit some of the old and traditional monasteries in each village on this mountain. The old traditional villages of Nepal, where the core Buddhist tradition and culture of Nepal live, will definitely bring peace to your heart. You can also meet some interesting people during your trial. The locals of Manaslu have been able to preserve their century-old traditions and culture from modernisation, and their lifestyle is very unique to explore.
